Well, the final day has come for our York Uni students at the excavation. Boltby Scar will certainly be a quieter place without them. It’s been the most brilliant experience having them around – I’m sure Dominic, James, Gigi and our fabulous volunteers will agree. Except for their wonderful enthusiasm and hard work I’ve also enjoyed the wearing of hats – they certainly went out on a high note today on that front. I hope photos will follow in the last of their blog entries. The updating of the blog has been incredible and I hope has given our readers a good insight in to the evolving theories over the course of the last few weeks as well as a flavour of the terrific atmosphere we’ve had on site. York students – you are great (plus, just dump those lectures, exams and what not and come back to play next week..you know you want to).
